Bodywork Session

Our services are designed to support the physical health and overall comfort of your equine companions. Each session is tailored to your horse’s individual needs and may include massage, myofascial release, joint mobilization, acupressure, cupping, stability pads, and k taping.

What we provide

  • A personalised assessment to identify areas of tension, asymmetry, or reduced mobility.

  • Techniques to relieve muscle tightness, improve range of motion, and promote relaxation.

  • Treatment plans that complement veterinary care, farriery, and your training schedule.

  • Aftercare guidance and easy-to-follow exercise or stretching recommendations to maintain improvements.

Sessions are delivered with your horse’s comfort and safety as the highest priority, and we communicate closely with you and your horse’s health care team to ensure appropriate, coordinated care.

Local sessions are $150 - travel included within 50kms

Body Clipping

Body clipping offers several advantages for both the horse and the rider, enhancing comfort and performance:

1. Temperature Regulation: Clipping helps horses manage their body temperature more effectively, especially during exercise in cooler weather. This prevents overheating and allows for a more comfortable ride.

2. Efficient Cooling: A clipped coat facilitates quicker drying after workouts, reducing the risk of chills and promoting overall health.

3. Simplified Grooming: With less hair, grooming becomes more straightforward and less time-consuming, allowing for better maintenance of skin health and cleanliness.

Travel included within 50kms

Horse's must be bathed, dry and free from any conditioners, oils or other product. There will be a $50 charge for any horse that is not adequately cleaned prior to the session as this takes extra time and puts additional wear and tear on clippers and blades. Any horse that is excessively dirty may have their session rescheduled, will incure a $50 fee, plus travel fee.

The goal is to make the experience positive and pleasant for the horse - staying below threshold and working through any anxiety. If you know your horse isn't comfortable with clipping - please let me know when booking so we can allow for extra time. However, if necessary any sedation is the responsibility of the owner. It's advised you have this on hand PRIOR to your session.

Payment & Cancellation Policy

  • A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for local cancellations or rescheduling

  • For travel dates, a minimum of 48 hours notice is required for cancellations

  • Cancellation under 24 hours notice (48 hours for travel dates) are subject to a $50 cancellation fee if your spot cannot be filled

  • No Shows will incure full service fee, plus any applicable travel fees

  • Late arrivals of 15 minutes or more after scheduled start time will be automatically cancelled and charged according to our cancellation policy unless we are notified that you are running late. To be fair to everyone, services may be shortened in order to keep on schedule.

  • If your horse is lame, sick, or injured - call your vet, then contact me as soon as possible. Depending on your vet’s recommendations we can either keep, or reschedule your appointment when your horse has been cleared for bodywork

  • Payment must be recieved by Beyond Barriers Bodywork in full after services are rendered, and may be paid via cash or EMT to tiffany@beyondbarriersbodywork.ca
