Are you playing offence or defence?
Once lameness appears, you’re no longer leading the game, you’re running around chasing the ball trying to hold things together. A new supplement, more equipment or another injection. Every ride becomes about managing symptoms instead of building strength, performance and longevity. Small restrictions turn into bigger issues, compensations patterns begin and recovery takes longer.
When we play offence, with proactive care, a solid plan, balanced horse and strong foundation we can start to play at our full potential. It takes less effort, less stress and less lost time putting out fires. Movement becomes easier and training becomes more productive.
It doesn’t matter if your horse is a high level athlete or a companion you enjoy the occasional trail ride with..you can’t win the game playing defence.
Catching restrictions before they become compensation patterns, behavioural changes and breakdowns is when you, and your horse, start to win.
